- The
Pharmacy Law and Ethics Association - an independent group for study and
development of legal and ethical aspects of pharmacy practice. PLEA has been
established to define legal or ethical questions raised by the developing
nature of pharmacy practice. PLEA provides informed comments and reports on
legal and ethical issues arising in pharmacy and promotes understanding of the
ethical basis for professional judgment.
- International
Pharmaceutical Federation – the global federation of national associations
of pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists. It remains in official relations
with the World Health Organization (WHO).
- PharmedOut - PharmedOut is a
Georgetown University Medical Center project that advances evidence-based
prescribing and educates healthcare professionals about pharmaceutical
marketing practices. PharmedOut site gives access to a database of books,
articles and other informations about how pharmaceutical companies influence prescribing
(most of the papers are available in an open access format).
