Instytucje i organizacje

  • Czech Gynecological and Obstetrical Society – The Czech Gynecological and Obstetrical Society is a member of the International Federation of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians (FIGO). In the years 1964-76, the academician Kotasek was a member of the committee of FIGO, and at the last election at the congress in Montreal, another representative of our country was elected to a 9-year term on the committee of FIGO. The committee of the he Czech Gynecological and Obstetrical Society chose Assoc. Prof. Vit Unzeitig for this role. Through its divisions, the Czech Gynecological and Obstetrical Society is also a member of other specialised organisations.
  • Finnish Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology – The Finnish Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (SGY) was founded by Professor Seth Wichmann, together with eight other gynaecologists working at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Helsinki University Hospital. This took place in 1928. By 2015 the number of members has grown and exceeds now 1200.
  • Institute of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists – „We are the national professional and training body for Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Ireland, working to ensure the highest standards in women’s health”
  • Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists – „The RCOG works to improve women’s health care across the world. Founded in 1929, we now have over 12,500 members worldwide and work with a range of partners both in the UK and globally to improve the standard of care delivered to women, encourage the study of obstetrics and gynaecology (O&G), and advance the science and practice of O&G”.
  • Federation of Portuguese Societies of Obstetrics and Gynecology – „The creation of FSPOG resulted from a recognition of the need to maintain a unified approach towards the promotion and protection of women’s health; the need for a higher coordination of activities of the individual societies; the need to address new developments that can overlap the sphere of different societies; and the advantage of an integrated and concerted representation in national and international scientific organisations”.
  • European Society of Gynecology – „The goals of the ESG are:
    • - Encourage and develop trade between the European gynecologists,
    • - hare experiences of medical and scientific members,
    • - Develop teaching and testing in Europe in all fields of Gynecology,
    • - Study the ethical and social implications of the various branches of Gynecology,
    • Thanks to:
    • - The European organization of congresses,
    • - Collaboration with other companies in the discipline and outside the discipline,
    • - Development of multi-center trials,
    • - Wide communication in and out of the SEG through a website constantly and regularly updated”.
  • Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) - The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) is dedicated to the establishment of a high standard of practice in obstetrics and gynaecology and women's health.
  • FIGO – „The International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (Fédération Internationale de Gynécologie et d'Obstétrique - FIGO) was established in Geneva in 1954 by Professor Hubert de Watteville, the ‘founding father’ of FIGO. It is a unique organisation, the only global organisation representing national societies of obstetricians and gynecologists. Currently, FIGO has Member Societies in 130 countries or territories. Its Secretariat is based in London, the United Kingdom”.
  • Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada – „The SOGC is one of Canada’s oldest national specialty organizations. Established in 1944, the Society’s mission is to promote excellence in the practice of obstetrics and gynaecology and to advance the health of women through leadership, advocacy, collaboration, and education”.
  • American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists – „Founded in 1951, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (The College) is the specialty's premier professional membership organization dedicated to the improvement of women's health”.
  • International Confederation of Midwives – „The International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) supports, represents and works to strengthen professional associations of midwives throughout the world. There are currently 121 Midwives Associations, representing 108 countries across every continent. ICM is organised into four regions: Africa, the Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe. Together these associations represent more than 400,000 midwives globally”.
  • The American Pregnancy Association – „The American Pregnancy Association is a national health organization committed to promoting reproductive and pregnancy wellness through education, support, advocacy, and community awareness”.
  • Abortion Care Network – „Connecting the abortion care community, the Abortion Care Network is the driving force behind the movement to de-stigmatize and normalize the abortion experience while offering support and training to the abortion care community. Founded in 2008, as a successor to the National Coalition of Abortion Providers, ACN has created a network of independent abortion providers, supportive allied organizations, and socially conscious individuals who are deeply invested in creating an environment where women who choose abortion, and those that provide care, are no longer harassed or shamed by the choices they make”.
  • afterabortion.org – „Pro-life and pro-family leaders applaud our research, our education and outreach initiatives, and our efforts to end abortion with compassion by building on the pivotal truth that the welfare of a mother and her unborn child are inseparable”.
  • International Consortium for Medical Abortion – „The Steering Committee currently consists of nine individuals with abortion-related expertise in advocacy, service delivery and training, representing a broad information base from among the Consortium's members. The majority of Steering Committee members come from developing countries or countries in transition, with an appropriate gender balance and geographic distribution. Steering Committee members participate in Steering Committee meetings, commit time to Consortium activities and represent and promote the Consortium at conferences they attend and in other activities in which they are involved”.
  • National Abortion Federation – „The mission of the National Abortion Federation is to ensure safe, legal, and accessible abortion care, which promotes health and justice for women”.
