  • IUSSP International Seminar on Promoting Postpartum and Post-abortion Family Planning – „The seminar aims to bring together scientists, policy makers and programme managers to present and discuss the available evidence on the levels and trends in postpartum and post-abortion family planning and the various approaches used to meet the family planning needs of women in the post-partum period and following abortion”.
  • 2014 North American Forum on Family Planning – „The 2014 North American Forum on Family Planning, which is produced jointly by Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and the Society of Family Planning (SFP), will be held October 12 and 13 in Miami, Florida. The Forum is the primary scientific and educational family planning conference for medical and social scientists, clinical providers and staff, and will feature CME accredited sessions that address a full range of services and research interests. This gathering represents the intersection of leaders and practitioners in family planning and abortion who are seeking to engage the most current and innovative dialogue related to safe, convenient, high-quality reproductive health care through research, discussion, and sharing of robust evidence-based practice recommendations. The Forum is intended for physicians, advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, social scientists, and researchers who are interested in advancing evidence-based practices in family planning, abortion, and preventive reproductive health services”.
  • Nursing Students For Choice Activist Summit – „Designed to provide a space for nursing students to learn more about reproductive justice issues, obtain clinical skills, and acquire tools for advocacy work. Clinicians will offer hands-on training in IUD insertion and manual vacuum uterine aspiration. Panels of reproductive health activists will speak about current issues and the nursing perspective in abortion care, as well as organizing for curriculum change”.

  • 2014 Conference on Family Planning – „MSFC’s Conference on Family Planning is renowned for providing medical students and students of other health professions the abortion and family planning education they will not receive during their formal schooling.   • 16th World Congress on Human Reproduction – „The Berlin Congress in 2015 will focus on state of the art and innovative topics, forward looking to the future of human reproduction. The scientific more specific themes will address the new challenges posed by globalization and new technologies. These, combined with more complex ethical, clinical, social norms, religious beliefs and costs are areas which clinicians and scientists must tackle on a daily basis. Learning new skills has always been the Academy’s role and we shall intensify this in the 2015 Berlin Congress”.
